Please note appointments are all via telehealth (online video calls)

Telehealth appointments are fully bulk billed for those living in eligible areas.
Please note, failure to attend a confirmed appointment or cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will result in a cancellation fee of $99+GST, which will not be waived under any circumstances and is required to be paid before any future appointments will be booked.
Appointments for new patients will last approximately 50 minutes. Follow-up appointments will generally be between 15-30 minutes.
During this time I will endeavour to get to know you and your situation in detail - this will allow me to understand your difficulties, and therefore plan the most effective treatments with you.
This will involve me asking you a number of questions, many of which may be quite personal, but are important for me to know in order to recommend the most effective treatments. I will always speak with you in a caring, sensitive manner.
For particularly complicated struggles, it may take a few sessions for me to get to know you enough to make the most appropriate recommendations - it is important that we do not rush this process!
At the end of an assessment, I will discuss with you, my ideas about what's happening, and what has contributed to the development of your symptoms and will seek your feedback and perspective on this. We will then discuss, in detail, all of your options for treatment.
In order to allow those in need to be seen in a timely manner, I generally do not offer ongoing counselling or long-term talking therapies myself; my role is more around meeting with you and getting to know you, allowing me to undertake a specialist assessment and recommendations on what is likely to best assist you. We will then meet regularly to discuss how you are progressing and any changes that may need to be undertaken.
What we are not able to assist with
Due to the part-time nature of our clinic, and appointments generally needing to be booked a number of weeks ahead, we are not able to offer urgent or crisis appointments for patients at risk of self-harm or suicide, nor do we manage acute psychosis or significant drug and alcohol difficulties – these continue to be best managed through the public mental health system. Crisis support contacts can be found below.
Additionally, if a referral describes a problem that is significantly outside my expertise, I will be happy to suggest a service or practitioner that is better placed to assist you - including if you require care in a mental health hospital.
